North Dakota Commission on Education Improvement

The commission shall examine the current system of delivering and financing public elementary and secondary education and shall develop recommendations addressing educational adequacy, the equitable distribution of state education funds, the allocation of funding responsibility between federal, state, and local sources, and any other matters that could result in the improvement of elementary and secondary education in the state. The members of the commission are entitled to reimbursement for actual and necessary expenses incurred in the same manner as state officials. The superintendent of public instruction shall use up to $40,000 from moneys appropriated in the grants - state school aid line item in section 3 of Senate Bill No. 2013, as approved by the sixtieth legislative assembly, to provide the reimbursements.
